Opening Reception at the Regional Museum of Nayarit

I am honored to share that on June 17, 2026, my solo exhibition “Mongolia: From the Gobi Desert to the Altai Mountains” formally opened at the Regional Museum of Nayarit (Museo Regional de Nayarit, MRN) in Tepic, Mexico.
Following its presentation at the National Museum of World Cultures in Mexico City, where it welcomed more than 184,000 visitors, the exhibition arrived in Nayarit as the first stop on its itinerary through northwestern Mexico.

I had the privilege of cutting the ribbon alongside Israel Camuesco Sáinz de la Maza, Acting Head of the Cultural Heritage Directorate of the State Council for Culture and the Arts of Nayarit; Bertha Lilia Arce López, Director General of the State Council for Culture and the Arts of Nayarit; and Othón Quiroga García, Director of the INAH Nayarit Center.

As part of the opening, I spoke with the people of Nayarit about my travels through Mongolia and shared the creative process behind the work, from capturing the photographs to developing the final images.
The exhibition brings together 25 large-format photographs and two infographics exploring Mongolia’s vast landscapes, ancestral traditions, and nomadic ways of life. I am deeply grateful to the museum, the INAH, and the cultural authorities of Nayarit for welcoming this work and creating a space for dialogue between cultures.
The exhibition is currently on view at the Regional Museum of Nayarit.
